This September, two creative architects unite for The Coalesce
Exhibition, a groundbreaking collaboration between Anderson Edewor and Hue by Idera that transcends traditional boundaries between art, design, fashion, and community engagement.
More than a showcase, this gathering creates a vital space for dialogue—exploring how bold expression, sustainability, upcycling, and fearless storytelling are reshaping the future of African design and culture. The exhibition transforms creative display into meaningful conversation, positioning Lagos at the centre of Africa’s evolving creative narrative.
The collaborative showcase demonstrates how art and fashion can merge with community building, featuring installations that celebrate both aesthetic innovation and environmental consciousness. Each piece tells a story of transformation—from discarded materials reborn as striking designs to traditional techniques reimagined for contemporary expression.
Anderson Edewor reflects on the collaboration’s. deeper purpose: “This exhibition proves that the most powerful creativity emerges when we
work together. Every piece here represents not just individual vision, but collective possibility—art and fashion becoming tools for
community building.”
He adds: “We’re not just displaying work; we’re creating a movement. When creativity meets consciousness, when design embraces
sustainability, we unlock new ways of seeing, making, and being together.”
Idera of Hue by Idera brings her fluid design philosophy to the collaboration: just like the designer, “Hue by Idera is a force of duality—the spirit is deeply personal, yet it universally resonates, singularly yet part of the collective whole”.
“She reflects on the brand’s transformative power: “It reflects the schizophrenic brilliance of the human spirit: the ability to exist in contradiction. One day, it’s minimal,
structured silhouettes; the next, it’s loud, chaotic beauty born from raw emotion. That’s the power of becoming—celebrating duality, diversity, and infinite possibilities through bold colours.”
Throughout September, the exhibition hosts panel discussions exploring collaboration in creative industries, the intersection of fashion, art, and design in Africa, sustainability through upcycling, and building communities through shared creativity. These
conversations illuminate how African creatives are pioneering new models for conscious design and community engagement.
The Coalesce Exhibition represents more than artistic achievement—it’s a blueprint for how creativity, consciousness, and community can converge to create meaningful cultural change.
The Coalesce Exhibition runs throughout September 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria.
